Oreder Of Power In The Universe
A good knowledge of the order of power in the universe helps in training people in the spiritual knowledge and exercises. The hierarchy of power is as follows:
Level    Description
1.          Physical
2.          Physical and Incantation
3.          Incantation (Mantra)
4.          Contact
5.          Resolve
6.          Presence
7.          Will Power

The Use Of Power At The Physical Level
At this level, physical object or physical contact is used in exercising power. The physical objects are the things used in rituals. The Catholics use sacramentals; the prayer houses use candles, pigeons or holy water; the pagan use any type of animal and images of idols; etc. Jesus had to use sand and spittle, sometimes. For many charms to be effective, the enemy uses the dress or object belonging to the victim - target person - in making the charms.

And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses. Deuteronomy 34:9

By contact (laying of hand) power was transferred from Moses to Joshua.

The Use Of Physical And Incantation (Mantra) In The Exercise Of Power
At this level of spiritual exercise, the man of God combines physical object and mantra (incantation). He recites special words, names, statements or commands to ensure effectiveness.

The Use Of Incantation (Mantra) In The Exercise Of Power
At this level, only words are used to moblise spiritual powers of the universe. This is what actually happens when prayers are said.

The Use Of Resolve In The Exercise Of Power
When a person has advanced in spiritual maturity, he can give commands to make things happen.

21 So Jesus answered and said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. 22 And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." Matthew 21:21-22

The case of the centurion presents a very good example.

Now when Jesus had entered Capernaum, a centurion came to Him, pleading with Him, 6 saying, "Lord, my servant is lying at home paralyzed, dreadfully tormented." 7 And Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him."

8 The centurion answered and said, "Lord, I am not worthy that You should come under my roof. But only speak a word, and my servant will be healed. 9 For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me. And I say to this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and to another, 'Come,' and he comes; and to my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it."

10 When Jesus heard it, He marveled, and said to those who followed, "Assuredly, I say to you, I have not found such great faith, not even in Israel! 11 And I say to you that many will come from east and west, and sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the kingdom of heaven. 12 But the sons of the kingdom will be cast out into outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 13 Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way; and as you have believed, so let it be done for you." And his servant was healed that same hour.
Matthew 8:5-13

The prophets use resolve very often, just by prophetic declarations.

The Use Of Presence In The Exercise Of Power
The presence alone of a prophet is enough to heal, clear doubt, inspire victory, etc, just as the presence of the morning sun makes everybody awake and active, and just as the presence of a good music makes everybody happy.
The disciples of Jesus were not used to fasting often because Jesus was present in their midst. Jesus confirmed it.

18 The disciples of John and of the Pharisees were fasting. Then they came and said to Him, "Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but Your disciples do not fast?" 19 And Jesus said to them, "Can the friends of the bridegroom fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them they cannot fast. 20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in those days. 21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; or else the new piece pulls away from the old, and the tear is made worse. 22 And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins." Mark 2:18-22

In the Old Testament, Joshua and the Israelites needed the presence of Moses in the battle field in order to win. When Moses raised his hands, Israelites continued to win, but if he lowered his hand, their enemies became stronger.

The Use Of Will Power In The Exercise Of Power
  1. By use of will power, a person can effect actions without actually being present at the scene of the action.
  2. God controls the entire universe by His will power. He takes a decision, and the decision becomes a law and immediately manifest.
  3. Ministers of God use will power when they make a decreee - prophetic declaration.
